Freelance Switch Looking for Writers

December 27th, 2008 Posted in Freelance Writing Jobs

One of our favorite fellow freelance writing blogs, the Freelance Switch, announced on Wednesday that it is looking for contributors. They have some pretty stringent submission guidelines, but if your guest post is accepted you’ll be paid a cool $60.

The folks at Freelance Switch are looking for expert articles relating to freelance writing. They should be written in a style that suits the web, and be informational and resourceful (how-to articles are great). They also love linkbait articles, which are excellent content for blogs and websites.

Whatever you write for Freelance Switch must be original and can not be published anywhere else online. If they choose to publish your article you can publish an except elsewhere online, but must link back to Freelance Switch for your readers to see the entire article. You can, however, submit your article to any offline publication you wish.

Not sure what you have will meet their needs? The site also has a pitch form you can use to send your idea before wasting your time on an entire article. On the other hand, if you think your idea is wonderful, you should write it anyway. You’ll then have something ready for publication on another site if Freelance Switch doesn’t accept it first.

Not every blog, especially those catering to freelance writing careers, is willing to pay for submissions by guest authors. If you’re looking to make money writing you’ll need to keep your eyes open as you surf the internet and browse blogs and websites within your interest niches. You never know what wonderful opportunities will present themselves.

Click here to read the official guidelines at Freelance Switch and/or to send in your submission. Good luck to anyone who makes the effort!
