Freelance Resources on Twitter

March 25th, 2009 Posted in Networking

When I first started reading and subscribing to blogs I thought that subscribing via email was a great idea. That was until I had 50+ extra emails in my inbox, which became unbearable. I eventually found a feed reader, properly subscribed, and weeded the emails out of my inbox.

One blog that I didn’t unscribe from, however, was Freelance Switch. Not sure if it was a mistake or not (they are on my RSS feed) but I’m sort of glad I didn’t. I feel like I would really miss out on some great posts if I waited to check my feed reader before seeing these entries.

That’s why I was really surprised this morning when I saw a post titled “50 Freeelance Follows on Twitter.” Susan Johnston wrote an amazing post talking about the number of freelance writers who have found their way onto the Twitter platform. She not only shared the names of writers but also included communication consultants, designers, developers, translators, photographers, videographers, stylists, and a number of other resources.

What an amazing way to find and follow other writers and resources, make connections, and network!

I won’t repost her entire list here, but I strongly encourage you to visit the list of “50 Freelance Follows on Twitter” and check out at least a few of the resources listed there. I guarantee you’ll find at least a few resources that interest you, regardless of whether you’re an experienced or newer writer!
