Some of the silliest mistakes you’ll make in your freelance writing projects will have to do with the improper use of grammar. While a few will be honest mistakes, others will likely stem from an improper understanding of how certain words are supposed to be used. Let’s take a look at a few examples.

Historic vs. Historical

A historical event is one that happened in the past. It is part of history, regardless of whether or not it was a remarkable or memorable event. A historic event is unique and stands apart from the rest. The bombing of Pearl Harbor or the shooting of John F. Kennedy were both historical and historic events.
