Using Search Engines To Find Freelance Writing Jobs

Have you ever heard the saying, “Don’t put all of your eggs in one basket?” The term applies to many situations in life, but if you are a freelance writer this is incredibly important. While you may find comfort in having a small handful of major clients, becoming dependent on them can be detrimental to your success. If you lose a client, due to a disaster or the economy, you might suddenly find your income is drastically reduced.

With that in mind, it’s important to continuously search for other freelance writing jobs, even if you only take a few extra projects here or there. You’ll keep your job hunting and application skills fresh and you’ll always have new work coming to you.

Freelance Switch Looking for Writers

One of our favorite fellow freelance writing blogs, the Freelance Switch, announced on Wednesday that it is looking for contributors. They have some pretty stringent submission guidelines, but if your guest post is accepted you’ll be paid a cool $60.

The folks at Freelance Switch are looking for expert articles relating to freelance writing. They should be written in a style that suits the web, and be informational and resourceful (how-to articles are great). They also love linkbait articles, which are excellent content for blogs and websites.

Whether you’re a full-time writer or a part-time blogger just looking to make money online, it helps to know that there are hundreds ( if not thousands) of writing jobs that become available each day. 5. ProBlogger

The ProBlogger website is run by no other than Darren Rowse, an esteemed and well known blogger. His website has a separate Job Board section where aspiring freelance bloggers can read about and apply for new jobs as they are listed. He only lists serious blogging jobs, so you are relatively safe from fly-by-night job posters here.
